In a world where pretty much nothing is free, Boingo Wireless (in collaboration with Google Offers) is working to change that one location at a time. Have you ever been in a subway station wishing you could send out those final texts and emails before your 11 o’clock meeting? Has your company’s Twitter ever needed a quick update before you boarded the train to the office? Well guess what? Boingo is bringing free Wifi to over 200 locations in New York city beginning today, June 25, until September 7,2012. FREE!
Where will you be able to gain access to this free WiFi service? For starters, it will be available at the following MTA subway stations: A, C, E, and L at 8th Ave. and West 14th Street, The C and E at 8th Ave. and West 23rd Street, and the 1, 2, 3, F, M and L at 6th/7th Ave and West 14th Street.
Do these locations not cater to your Internet needs? Don’t fret. This service will not only be limited to the above locations. Developing over the course of the year, Boingo will bring Wifi to about 36 subway stations including Times Square, Rockefeller Center and Columbus circle.
Excited? So are we!
